Calcitic lime works more quickly than dolomite lime: Calcium carbonate is better at balancing the pH of soils than magnesium carbonate, and calcitic lime contains much higher levels of calcium carbonate than dolomite lime.

How to use:

Soil Mix: To increase the pH by 1 unit

e.g. If you have an acidic soil mix (50% peat moss & 50% vermiculite) and you need to increase your pH from 4.5pH – 5.5pH

30L of growing medium: Add 2 tablespoons (30ml).
Per 1L of growing medium: Add 1/5 teaspoon (1ml).

To Change the Soil’s pH/Applying in Beds:

Calcitic lime increases the pH of soil, making it more alkaline. Determine how much is needed, dependent on the current pH of your soil, and spread calcitic lime on top layer of soil.
Per 1m³ of soil apply 1500g / 4.4 cups (1100ml) of calcitic lime to raise the pH by 1
